ABOUT
Jessica has always had an interest in women’s health and post natal health, but this passion was further ignited after the birth of her two boys. Jessica has a love of travel and winter / water sports, having lived in Canada, where she learnt to snowboard and Australia where she learnt to dive. She also enjoys skiing, pilates, paddleboarding, spending time with her family and friends and walking her labradoodle.
EXPERIENCE
During her training and career, Jessica has gained a wealth of experience in treating a variety of patients throughout London and the South-East, including expectant and post partum mums, children, menopausal women, sports injuries , chronic pain presentations and the elderly. During her training she worked at the Royal Free Hospital in London and in a GP setting in Southwark, where many of the patients had complex and challenging health problems. Jessica has also worked in a specialist Women’s Health clinic in South Kensington. Jessica has a holistic and collaborative approach that recognises the multifactorial influences to pain presentations and that movement is central to good health and pain management. Jessica considers herself to be an evidence informed practitioner and actively keeps up to date with the latest research in her field.
Training and Regulation
EDUCATION
Jessica qualified with a Masters degree in Osteopathy from the University College of Osteopathy, London. During her training she won awards for the highest academic achievement and for her dissertation on the contributing factors to chronic low back pain, both presented by Princess Anne. Originally working in the film industry, Jessica retrained in order to pursue a long-held interest in the mind, body, rehabilitation, health and wellness.
POSTGRADUATE TRAINING
Jessica is incredibly passionate about all aspects of women’s health and has completed specialist postgraduate training in women’s health, menopause, hormones, fertility, pregnancy, postnatal health and pelvic health. In addition Jessica is a licensed ‘Mummy MOT’ postnatal practitioner and has training in scar remodelling, treatment and rehabilitation, specialising in c-section and mastectomy scars and in addition training in diastasis recti assessment and rehabilitation. Jessica is currently completing a post graduate diploma in women’s health with the Molinari Institute of Health, taught by Professor Renzo Molinari at the Molinari Institute of Health in Imperial Wharf, London. This course is world renowned and attracts osteopaths internationally.
FIRST AID CERTIFIED
Jessica is fully insured, paediatric and adult first aid certified, registered with the General Osteopathic Council and holds professional membership of the Institute of Osteopathy.
